Harmonic Resonance Recordings All I can say is this is a purely creative piece of ambient electronica that gently moves from drone like atmospheres to slightly pulse oriented more dubby to be accurate but without jumping on the more dancey realms. Reminds me stylistically of old school Global Communications 76:14 and Steve Roach.
I enjoyed the use of odd snippets of conversations and synth effects to color the compositions overall mood. Well done Mr. Novak! Favorite track: The Moon is a Strange God.

about

John Novak appeared on Kahvi a couple of times previously, both showing his versatility of different styles, from popular mainstream melodies, to IDM inspired by Tangerine Dream and Chemical Brothers.

This time around he's back with passages of ambience, interspersed with addictive melodies in the shape of his new album 'The Moon is a Strange God'.

Eight tracks of sublime chill, drifting between the stars.
